Preparatory English Curriculum (3–7 years)

From early speech to structured, confident communication

Between the ages of three and seven, children rapidly develop cognitive, social, and language abilities.

Our Preparatory English Curriculum is a structured three-level pathway designed to transform early vocabulary into confident, connected speech — entirely within a full English immersion environment.

At this stage, English becomes a practical tool for thinking, expressing ideas, and interacting with others.

Program Structure

Level 1 (3–4 years)

Children transition from single words to simple dialogues and everyday questions such as “What’s this?” and “How are you?”
They actively use approximately 150–300 words, participate in guided role-play, songs, and structured classroom interaction.

At this level, children:

  • Respond to familiar questions
  • Use short phrases independently
  • Begin recognizing basic grammar patterns naturally

Level 2 (4–5 years)

Vocabulary expands significantly as children begin forming longer phrases using consistent language structures.
Through storytelling, themed units, and creative projects, students actively use 350–600 words in meaningful communication.

At this level, children:

  • Participate in short conversations
  • Describe objects, actions, and simple events
  • Apply core grammar patterns intuitively
  • Build confidence speaking in front of peers

Level 3 (5–7 years)

Children move from short exchanges to structured, confident communication.

They speak in connected sentences, describe events, express simple opinions, and participate in extended interaction.

By the end of this stage, students:

  • Confidently use 600–800 words actively
  • Demonstrate strong receptive understanding beyond their active vocabulary
  • Construct short narratives and explain ideas
  • Use fundamental grammar patterns consistently
  • Show clear readiness for reading, writing, and academic-style tasks

Language becomes functional and flexible — children are expressing original thoughts rather than repeating memorized patterns.

What happens in class?

  • Structured dialogues and situational role-play
  • Story-based language development
  • Creative projects and simple presentations
  • Interactive problem-solving activities in English
  • Natural grammar development through communication

What children develop

  • Strong listening comprehension in varied contexts
  • Expanding functional vocabulary across levels
  • Ability to form structured sentences and short narratives
  • Intuitive grammar awareness
  • Communication confidence and collaboration skills
  • Smooth transition readiness for literacy and academic English

Class Format

  • Age: 3–7 years
  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Group size: 6–8 children

Why this stage matters

This is the critical period when children shift from imitation to independent expression.

Full immersion during these years allows English to integrate into their thinking naturally — creating a strong foundation for literacy, academic language, and long-term fluency.

Develop confident speaking and a strong language base before literacy begins.
